This policy explains how SpecReady collects, uses, and protects personal information. It complies with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

- Contact information: name, email, phone, company name, delivery address
- Order information: products, quantities, prices, payment method (processed by a third-party payment provider — we do not store card details)
- Website usage: pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, browser type
- Feedback you send through the feedback widget or contact form
2. How we use it
- To process orders and provide compliance documentation
- To respond to enquiries and project quote requests
- To improve the website and our product range
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, consumer law)
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:
- Payment processors (to complete transactions)
- Shipping and logistics providers (to deliver orders)
- Our suppliers (where necessary to fulfil drop-ship orders)
- Legal and regulatory authorities (where required by law)
We never sell personal information and never share it for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
4. Feedback widget & AI processing
The feedback widget on this site routes messages through Claude, an AI system provided by Anthropic, for triage and categorisation before a human team member reviews and responds. Your feedback, the page it was sent from, and a timestamp are included. No other personal information is shared with the AI system unless you include it in your message.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain your cart and session. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (without cross-site tracking) to understand site performance. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. Data security
We store personal information on encrypted infrastructure in Australia where possible. We limit access to staff who need it for their role.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion (subject to legal record-keeping obligations)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe your privacy has been breached
